Facebook Upshot: T-shirt with Buddha’s Birthplace
Posted by Ram Kumar Shrestha on May 18, 2012
The weather was surprisingly wonderful today, so I went to the town centre wearing T-shirt with Buddha’s photo. Three guys came to me and hugged. After having chat for a while they expressed their wish to born in Lumbini, Nepal where Buddha was born in their next life. I said, “Tathastu (Amen)” and we hugged each other again. This time we had different feeling than before.— with Sonam Rinpoche and http://www.facebook.com/browse/participants/?q=AeLEyP_cf0193ijiAQH1MH13kfsgRxFqeOZOnVV9wPYbIx16O91J86iJNY4lE4VzcbXcb2PUbURlYegfnulO0mL7JXOT96aGgsnB594F7OrKcCZVogJR3GcgQA4SpZMjJQccreO_yQhdIZFCTInmkEvldU_wvtcv8KkYcgFVBMhoGuHivUr-89WnEvY7X8gbT_VKUoR50geDmTu8HOAEQuIgDgAABHGtS4ZoK_6FhNW1iFkW9zGtPiUJkVR1XdsWTzIpZrlr9cPKaUomfk0vB48AGUsYCh9u_cPUvD1Bop5I8q4aLP3zevLsvmYHGqW2_a620-Xo5E5EGy81-eIeUU_EkV9Zdcy2cTSvwWyW8KbB6M4segXkNKdPM8SlxW80g0V8Zt1hAlJxO0PaAssT5cyTmb-OuGjX5zaKR3Cy6_oKMhhKws0uw546RSf7D8XE-hdSC8qUSmvJrRA_H8GkEoJRCl5hdvViPgFZJIFfI7TXvO70oaJw_IWlkapoeu88shghBC7iejXZAL5Uv8wmCi9R_JdNvj42xuZBzmwvbMCMlWbCVVyUI1-6Igbmgx3L8grNAflJ3ea28r539N8is0D8uci9C1tNK-dI79O7ZjbX8TYr7K7VHuggczVV8IBw-F0b5TsISUAgnpSoIXg7kTXdKhKboFv5DIBLgJPUCPzkz_UWqj8stSP-jkxqyRu6CdbTazkRSLjcSaQPnpqoa9g4v-Wd1HWAhnw2sTcL5AbXzA” rel=”dialog”>28 others.

Ram Kumar Shrestha Definitely soon Nepal will be the source of World Peace as this is the birthplace of Buddha, but we too need to be serious for this with broad mind. Lots of positive symptoms and we are in the 21st century – also called as epoch of internet.April 30 at 4:20pm · Like ·

Laxmi Tamang Awesome bro!
Good on you! Yesterday I asked two of my social networking friends from USA (Global Media Project Director and Documentary maker) who has just arrived in KTM on 29 April about Buddha birth place and one of them said Buddha was born in India and another said may be China.
Then I explained them in detail about it.

Laxmi Tamang I completely agree (we are not against India but after truth) with Bikal Dhungel statement “That Buddha was born in India was a misinformation provided by a group of idiots which reached to many many people today that even such a credible institution like the British Museum was also wrong. However, it is not the reason to hate India. The central Government of India recognizes that Buddha was born in Lumbini, Nepal.
That your friend said ‘may be China’ is absolutely OK. Why should somebody who is not related to Buddhism should know the birth place of Buddha ? Is it compulsory to know ? Do we all know in which city Jesus was born ? Where Muhammad was born ? NO. The people affiliated with Nepal or even South Asia might know but for the remaining world, it is a tiny thing among millions of other thing. Many people around the world even dont know that there is a country called Nepal. So, as a Nepali, is it a reason to be sad? I dont think so. How many Nepalese know that there is a country called Diego Garcia ? Have everybody heard of Lesotho? . What I meant is, its absoutely OK that people dont know many facts that is not related to them or even that is related to them.”April 30 at 11:45pm · Like ·
