PBS is made up of more than 350 local public noncommercial TV stations and reaches more than 115 million people each month through on-air and online content, and, increasingly, in other platforms. PBS content is available on air through its local stations and, for many programs, online, in the form of podcasts, blogs, video clips, and full episodes.

Key programs include PBS KIDS & PBS KIDS GO! series, as well as NATURE, MASTERPIECE, ANTIQUES ROADSHOW, GREAT PERFORMANCES , BILL MOYERS JOURNAL, TAVIS SMILEY, WASHINGTON WEEK, FRONTLINE and THE PBS NEWSHOUR.

“THE BUDDHA” coming to PBS April, 7th, 2010. This PBS documentary explores the life of Prince Siddhartha, today know as the Buddha, whose spiritual quest for enlightenment gave birth to Buddhism. The film, narrated by Richard Gere, includes interviews with the Dalai Lama and airs on PBS April 7.

The problem with this documentary is that this is with misinformation about Buddha. This informs that Prince Siddhartha of India. Lots of Nepalese campaigning against this misinformation. Within the PBS Fan Club Ram Kumar Shrestha created Topic Buddha was born in Nepal not in India in its Discussion Board. To leave the comment in the link with the information about video this is the link . In both links lots of Nepalese campaigning against the misinformation. Only after becoming Fan of PBS Fan Club, it is possible to comment in the second link. Buddha and misinformation together? Does not suit. So why not to participate there then?

The birthplace of Gautam Budhha is in Lumbini, Nepal as evidenced by archaelogical findings from historical monuments, The Ashoka pillar, his mother, Mayadevi’s hometown Devdaha, and more. Some writers in India are trying in vain to claim it without much evidence based on speculations never been proved.

So, please insert the correct information in the documentary which shows the life of Prince Siddhartha Gautam, about Birthplace of Buddha being in Lumbini, Nepal. Not in UP, India.

    Regards
